Resolution is important whenever an image is
used and enlarged. Images must be at least 150 - 250 ppi in
order to enlarge properly. Check your digital camera
settings. If you are taking pictures to maximize how many
pictures you get on your memory chip, you probably have the
smallest file size set- usually good for emailing pics but
really bad for enlarging anything. If scanning a
paper image use a higher resolution and your quality will be
always be better. If you are requesting a very large piece
resolution is very important.
Images that come from a professional studio must
have a copyright release included with them. I would rather
work from your own images whenever possible as you are the
consenting party.
